Does it work for fixed-time table service like all-you-can-eat?
Yes. You mark the table as 'in service' when the guest sits down and as 'open' when they leave. The dashboard shows the next in line automatically.
Does it replace an online reservation system?
No. Lyne is for walk-ins, when the guest shows up on the spot. If you use reservations (Tagme, GetIn) for advance booking, Lyne covers the queue for everyone who arrives without one.
What about peak hours or weekends?
That's when Lyne helps the most. Instead of guests standing at the door, they sign up, go for a walk in the mall or down the street, and come back when the table is ready. Lower drop-off.
Does the waiter need to do anything different?
